Bargain and sale by Clement Throkmerton of Clarverdon alias Claredon in the county of Warick, esq., to Cuthbert Joynour of the city of Coventy, draper, Christopher Warene of the same city, daper, Henry Over of the same, mercer, John Tallontis of the same, goldsmith, Thomas Keyvet of the same, draper, John Wayde of the same, mercer, and John Nethermyle of the same, draper, of the mansion or hall of the guild of Corpus Christi in the parish of the Holy Trinity, Coventry, and all the buildings, cellars, solars, stables, gardens, fountains, etc., lying in "le West Orcharde" within the city of Coventry late of the said guild, with the reversion thereof and the rents and profits on certain demises of the premises; all of which he purchased of William Myldmay of Chelmsforde in Essex, gentleman, and Thomas Mundes of Springfeild in the same county, husbandman, by deed dated 25 June 4 Edward VI and which they had of the royal grant by letters patent dated 1 February 4 Edward VI: the premises came to the crown in virtue of the Act of Parliament 1 Edward VI for the dissolution of colleges, chantries, guilds, etc., and are to be held of the manor of Estgrenewiche in free socage. Thomas Gregorye of Coventry is appointed attorney to deliver seisin. Given on 21 Jan. 6 Edward VI.
